Have you ever seen a talcum powder fight? In the capital of La Palma you can take part in this unique, unusual fiesta commemorating the return of the islanders who emigrated to the Americas. The event is buoyed along with the sunny rhythms of Caribbean music. With these ingredients, the fun is guaranteed.

This event is held on all the islands as a farewell to Carnival, so in La Palma you can also “cry” along with a funeral procession of “widows” who dress appropriately for the occasion and express their sorrow as the festivities draw to an end. But don’t worry: Carnival will be around again next year.
